Art Workshops in London: A Relaxed, Fun Way to Get Painting

If you’ve been searching for art workshops in London and you want something fun, friendly and genuinely relaxing then hey, this is Jess - and you’re in the right place.

My workshops are designed for real people with real lives. You don’t need to be “arty”. You don’t need to have painted since school. You just need a little curiosity and an hour or two to switch off, do something creative, and enjoy yourself.

What my art workshops are like

I run painting workshops in North London that are beginner-friendly, welcoming, and all about enjoying the process. Some sessions are calm and cosy, others are more social (especially the Sip, Eat & Paint style evenings) but they all have one thing in common: no pressure!

You can expect:

  • A relaxed vibe and easy-to-follow guidance

  • All materials provided (you just turn up)

  • A workshop that suits beginners and mixed abilities

  • Something you’ll be proud to take home

If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to do something creative but I’m not good enough”… I promise you’re exactly the type of person these workshops are for.

Why painting workshops are such a good idea

A lot of people come along because they want something different from the usual plans and they leave feeling lighter.

Creative time has a way of pulling you out of your head and into the moment. It’s a brilliant antidote to busy weeks, screens, stress, and the constant feeling of having too much on your plate.

And if you’re looking for things to do in North London, an art workshop is such a lovely option because it’s:

  • Social, but not overwhelming

  • Calm, but still fun

  • Creative, without needing “talent”

Family-friendly art workshops in North London

I also run family art workshops in North London, which are a great way to spend proper time together doing something hands-on. They’re not about perfection! They’re about colour, laughter, and making something together.

If you’ve got kids who love crafts (or you just

want a wholesome plan that doesn’t involve soft play, again...), then these are a fab option.

Kat attended a Sip, Eat & Paint back in December and here's what she thought:

"I went to Jess's Sip, Eat & Paint at the Oak Caffe in Whetstone on a Friday night. It was honestly the best night out I've had in ages. It was a small, intimate group with such a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Jess made the evening so much fun with little prizes. She was clear and engaging, and made it surprisingly easy to follow instructions and paint something really cool. I've never painted before but my painting has had pride of place in my bedroom ever since. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lovely, creative evening out."
